A lot of disappointment and pent-up frustration got vented at Weber’s press conference last night. It’s painful to listen to but Weber admits to playing “not to lose” for the past three years instead of trying to build a team based on toughness. He cops to trying to please too many people—and that probably includes alumni and trustees who pushed him to recruit marquee high school players who did not necessarily fit into his system.

I hope he is coaching at a different program next year—one where he will have players who listen to him.

This is the third consecutive Washington/Arizona game that has come down to the wire.
