He praised the “old-man game” of teammate Evan Gordon, comparing him to Joe Dumars in the process, and described his head coach as “intelligent, spunky and funny”.     “Chanse Creekmur on Friday became the 10th scholarship player in the last five seasons to leave Arizona State’s basketball program. A look at the departed:

    *Creekmur: The sophomore forward decided he wanted to purse football at a smaller school closer to home. Creekmur was a standout quarterback at Marshalltown, Iowa, and attracted college interest. In two seasons at ASU, he was pretty much a perimeter shooter, but this season he struggled with his shot. The development of freshman forward Jonathan Gilling likely would’ve cut into his future playing time. He averaged 4.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 24 minutes, shooting 36.1 percent from 3-point range.”
